You can use existing SolidWorks Color and Texture assignments when creating Maxwell materials.
If you "pre-select" a SolidWorks item that has colour or texture properties and use the "Create New Material" button, the colour or texture data, will be used in the definition of that material.
In this example, I have created a multi-body part and assigned a blue colour to the conic body and a checked texture to a face to the floor body.
Then, selecting the conic body and using the "Create New Material" option will launch the Maxwell Material Editor directly.
You will see that the material has been created using the SolidWorks colour properties.
Similarly, Select the face of the floor which has the SolidWorks Texture applied and use the "Create New Material" option.
Here, you can see that the Maxwell Material has been created containing the SolidWorks texture.
